To be honest, I am not sure how to think about your responses. For sure I am grateful to God that he would serve my friends in such a way. And I’m wonderfully encouraged because this is what I want to do: serve the counseling world with Gospel-centered, practical helps.

WOW!! Thanks – it could not have come at a better time! Although I did not request this and normally would never have thought of using a transcript in this manner – it was exactly what a friend needed to hear – Only God knows if he will read it, but I was at a loss as to how to continue with him. Praise the Lord – He is Good!! If he responds, I will be glad to pass on the news!

Rick, thank you so much for posting an example of your notes for the biblical counseling session. Being educated and trained as a secular psychologist, I had concerns if I could effectively make the change to a biblical counseling orientation. Thanks to your post, I have confidence that I can successfully make the transition. Thanks again for your willingness to enlighten.

Thanks for posting this Rick. It was very encouraging. Also it reminds us that while we all bring our own “style” of sinning to the table, the remedy is the same for us all.

Thanks also to your CIT for doing such a fine job of taking the notes and compiling them in a useful teaching format.

Last night I was crying out to God because I could not distinguish between my “Catholic” guilt, which involves everything, as I am not perfect “as He is perfect” (or mature enough!) and “real guilt”. I asked Him to show me as I am so burdened down. I want to help others, but am confused about this issue. What a blessing to have a counseling session about myself right in front of me. Can you continue to counsel me, ah, Cheryl, in another session?
