I've been on both sides of this fence and have not yet totally given up on the traditional approach to homework. What I have been doing is to assign intensive Gospel reading first to stress the personal relationship with Christ to provide the motivation for change. Then I'll try to connect the dots with other portions of Scripture that speak to the major presenting issues. It's sort of the because of Christ, therefore approach of Ephesians except on a larger scale. I'm always thinking about how do to this better and that's for sure. Your post here is helpful-thanks!
