We’re in the middle of 12 hours of virtually non-stop counseling training. This morning was supposed to be David Powlison, who I believe is the greatest mind in the counseling world today. He was to speak on Establishing Trust With the Counselee. Anything you find by David please buy it. It will be well-worth the investment.

David has been very sick during this conference and the Executive Board made arrangements to fly him home. Yesterday he checked into the hospital. Please pray for David.

There were 12 workshops after this morning’s plenary that included Terminology in Counseling, The Role of Apologetics, Christ’s Word to Worriers, Evangelism in Counseling, Contentment, Changing Thoughts and Actions, Evaluating Alternative Medicine, Women Whose Husbands are in Sexual Sin, Understanding the Foundation of Change, The Role of Titus 2 Women in Counseling, Freedom From Freud and Essential Core Curricula in Under-Grad and Grad Programs.

That was quite the variety and there are 48 other sessions offered.

This afternoon it’s a business meeting and then more workshops.
